The Fire and Mira
Every day hundreds of animals came to see the grand statue of Zios in the Temple of Zios. Mira, the heron, lived in the cave in the stream. She would visit the statue more often than most. Then one day there was an awful fire. It burned the stone cylinder north of Jamaa Township, and carved into a half circle of pillars around a statue of Mira, which was miraculously carved by the fire. Mira stood on the base of Zios's statue, scared by the flames lapping around her. Phantoms swirled around the statue, preventing Mira from escaping the flames. The phantoms got closer and closer, and waited until the last moment to dart up into the clouds. By then it was too late to escape. The fire burned down the statue, but did not harm Mira. The statue burned down all but Zios's mask. Mira fell into the pit caused by the base crumbling, and the rubble fell on top of her, sealing her in. The fire also burned down the trunks of the nearby trees, causing their branches to fall and block off the temple from the rest of Jamaa. You can watch Mira as she is trapped by the flames somewhere very close to where she was... Today her cries for help are not heard, only seen, as blue stars coming up from the pit. Eventually the temple was discovered, and became known as the Lost Temple of Zios.
