There are 5 types of trading: Uptrading, downtrading, overtrading, undertrading, and demand trading. You will learn about all these soon.............
UPTRADING
Say you have a lot of rares, and you really want a headdress. You might trade a bunch, if not all, of those rares to get the harder-to-find item. Uptrading basically means to trade items up for a better item.
DOWNTRADING
This is like the opposite of uptrading. Pretend you were on the other end of that trade, the jammer with the headdress. You are trading the big rare for a bunch of little rares. This is key for rare collectors. Downtrading means to trade a big item down for smaller items.
OVERTRADING
Say you have all the colors of short spikes but blue. You might want that item SO BAD you trade stuff that is worth WAY MORE than a blue spike for it. If you don't know you are overtrading you may be getting scammed. Overtrading means you trade more than a item is worth to get it you want it so bad.
UNDERTRADING
Undertrading is when you trade less than an item is worth to get that item. Another word for this is scamming.
DEMAND TRADING
Demand trading is when you trade an item want-for-want. For example: Once I had a duplicate orange raccoon plushie on trade and someone else had a pink crocodile on trade I didn't have. They traded it to me, I accepted, and then I proposed two more trades want-for-want and they accepted both XD.
Now you know the five types of trading. I hope to see you trading in Jamaa!
