Clans are based on the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. In the book there are four clans: ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan. A kittypet (housecat) named Rusty goes out into the forest and meets ThunderClan cats. He soon joins them and becomes an apprentice; his name is changed to Firepaw. The four clans fight for food in their own territory, but that doesn't mean they won't go into the other's territory. You might be wondering, "WHY IS SNEEZY77 TEACHING US ABOUT CATS ON AN AJ BLOG?!?!?!?! I THOUGHT SNEEZY77 WAS SANE!". That's because on AJ people roleplay Warriors (sometimes extremely violently). So, there are several parts in clans. If you have a clan on AJ, make sure it has all these parts.
LEADER: Is in charge of the clan, has nine lives after going to the moonstone, name ends in star.
DEPUTY: Is second in command of the clan, becomes leader when clan leader dies, organizes patrols, must have trained at least one apprentice.
MEDICINE CAT: Uses herbs and other nature-y objects to cure wounds.
QUEENS: Gives birth to kits, cares for kits.
KITS: Short for kittens as twolegs (humans) call them, name ends in kit, becomes apprentice at six moons (months).
APPRENTICES: Are trained by warriors, name ends in paw.
WARRIORS: Are the main fighters of the clan.
ELDERS: Are the oldest members of the clan who cannot care for themselves.
Ok, I think you're ready to be in or start a clan! If you still don't understand, read the books and find out. One more thing. Well two, actually: Coloring and names. First colors. Try to make your animal look as much like a cat as possible. Mine is currently a tabby. I know this isn't really coloring, but I recommend you use a tiger, fox, wolf, cheetah, or snow leopard. I use a wolf. Then there're names. I am Firestar, the leader of LightClan. Some other names I made are: Mistypaw, Blueleaf, and Cloudpaw. Here are some real names from the book: Fireheart, Tigerclaw, Brokenstar, Dustpaw, Redtail, Yellowfang, and Frostfur. You get the idea: The names are a combination of two nature items, colors, or cat parts. Here are some to NOT use: Purplerain, Sonicboom, Superstar, and Pinkprincess. NO.
